Pristyn Care Launches Pilot Programme for Cashless Treatment in Non-Network Hospitals

Pristyn Care has announced the launch of a pilot programme to introduce cashless treatment facilities in non-network hospitals, aligning with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India’s (IRDAI) 'Insurance For All by 2047' initiative.

Pristyn Care has announced the launch of a pilot programme to introduce cashless treatment facilities in non-network hospitals, aligning with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India’s (IRDAI) ‘Insurance For All by 2047’ initiative. This groundbreaking effort will enable patients to access cashless healthcare services outside their insurance network, significantly simplifying payment processes and alleviating financial burdens for patients and their families.

### Addressing Trust and Financial Concerns

The initiative seeks to build greater trust in medical insurance by addressing long-standing fears and misinformation surrounding cashless treatments. It aims to enhance the overall patient experience by removing barriers related to payment upfront, which often contribute to stress and confusion.

### Introducing the 45-Minute Express Discharge Service

In addition to cashless facilities, Pristyn Care is also rolling out a 45-minute Express Discharge Service in partner hospitals, designed to reduce discharge wait times by up to 90 percent. This service tackles the common delays encountered by patients during the discharge process, improving their overall experience. By managing all administrative tasks associated with discharge, Pristyn Care ensures a smooth and hassle-free surgical journey.

### Collaborative Efforts with Insurance Partners

The partnership involves Pristyn Care, Park TPA, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, and various other insurers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs). This collaboration aims to enable patients to be discharged within 45 minutes of receiving final discharge approval, a significant improvement compared to the typical six to eight hours in regular Indian hospitals.

### Tackling Challenges in India’s Health Insurance Sector

Despite progress in India’s health insurance sector, challenges persist. The process of claiming insurance in non-network hospitals can be cumbersome, often requiring patients to pay upfront and wait for reimbursement, adding to their financial strain. Even cashless facilities frequently face delays during the discharge process. Pristyn Care’s new initiatives are designed to address these two major pain points

### Leadership Insights

Dr. Vaibhav Kapoor, Co-founder of Pristyn Care, emphasized the importance of these initiatives, stating, “Our research shows that 50 percent of patients face discharge delays due to insurance claims. Our Express Discharge Service is a crucial step toward reducing patient wait times and enhancing convenience. We are proud to align with IRDAI’s vision of ‘Insurance for All’. By removing the burden of upfront payments, we’re ensuring that healthcare becomes more stress-free for our patients.”

Commitment to Enhancing Healthcare Experience

Through these initiatives, Pristyn Care aims to gain deeper insights into patients’ financial challenges while exploring further enhancements to the healthcare experience in India. The collaboration with insurers and TPAs reflects a forward-thinking approach to healthcare and insurance management, reaffirming a shared commitment to improving patient care and accessibility.
