The pandemic has increased our dependency & consumption of preventive as well as curative medicines. Sanjivani pharmacy, started by Mayank Garg in 2006 was launched with a vision to provide affordable and quality healthcare services to people. It provides world class solutions and services in the field of pharmaceutical retail and distribution. The company provides a complete bouquet of products under its store, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry of healthcare industry i.e. Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Surgical and Cosmetics. During covid, this 16 years old chain grew its services wherein they were consistent in opening stores for consumer benefit. In these unprecedented times, they gave out personalised services ‘No-minimum orders delivery’ ‘early morning or late night special shifts’ to people with day-to-day pharmaceutical requirements.

Sanjivani Pharmacy has signed more than 50 stores in Q1 and expected to expand to 300 more, by the end of 2020-21. They are expanding to different parts of the country, mainly in tier 2 and tier 3 cities where there is a huge gap of quality healthcare and pharma services, hence Sanjivani is making way to Pan India Expansion to 14+ cities. This decision is taken to support and strengthen India in it’s fight against Covid-19.  The company is working on an innovative model for ‘Fast door-to-door service’ wherein the consumers will be benefited with the delivery of the required medicine within an hour of their order.

BIORx Venture Advisors Pvt. Ltd has been mandated recently by the company for the capital raise of USD 5-7 million for future expansion as per the business plan set for next 2 years. Vishal Gandhi, Founder & CEO says that he is very bullish about the prospects of the retail pharmacy business growth and is in initial discussions with some financial and strategic investors. BIORx hopes to conclude the deal in the next 4-5 months.

Sanjivani is one of the first branded chain of chemists in India whose operations date back to 2006 with an Investment of approx. 6 lacs. In a short span of time, the brand was successful in gaining the trust of many Indian households in tier 2/3 towns. This has led the company to increase their working hours from 12 to 24, becoming one of the first to offer this service 24*7 in Delhi. The brand is backed by NB Marketing Pvt. Ltd. as its parent company, which has specialized in providing Allopathic and Ayurvedic medicines since 2006.

Mayank Garg, Founder, Sanjivani Pharmaceutical says “India being a highly populated country, it becomes very important to handle healthcare efficiently. The Indian scenario presents great potential for penetration of organized pharma chains in the country as the demand for pharmaceutical products is increasing with the increase in healthcare awareness. With the current situation of the pandemic – outbursts of coronavirus, people are now more conscious & aware than ever be it for preventive & curative medicines. So, the need to have more pharmacy stores to serve the growing demand becomes even more important”

Sanjivani Pharmacy provides Franchises for retail medical stores by giving guidance to enter this lucrative business. The chain has received many awards with lots of institutional orders which include Dubai Embassy, TATA Projects, MAX Health care, to name a few.
