Sebia, a global leader in specialized in vitro diagnostics, showcased its cutting-edge diagnostic technologies at IFCC WorldLab 2026, held from 25–29 October 2026 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi. The prestigious event, comprising the 27th International Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine and the 52nd Congress of the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI), brought together leading healthcare professionals, clinical laboratory experts, researchers, and diagnostic industry stakeholders from across the globe, providing a dynamic platform for scientific exchange, technological innovation, and collaboration in advancing laboratory medicine and patient care.

Sebia highlighted its comprehensive portfolio of innovative instruments and reagents supporting the screening, diagnosis, and monitoring of diseases across key therapeutic areas, including Oncology (Multiple Myeloma), Diabetes, Hemoglobinopathies, Autoimmune and Infectious Diseases. Through its participation, Sebia reinforced its commitment to advancing specialized diagnostics, scientific collaboration, and improved patient outcomes.

A key highlight of Sebia’s participation was an educational workshop titled “Advancing Multiple Myeloma Diagnosis through Integrated Laboratory Solutions: From Screening to MRD Monitoring . The workshop focused on the evolving role of advanced laboratory technologies in Multiple Myeloma diagnosis and disease monitoring, emphasizing the importance of integrated diagnostic approaches throughout the patient journey.

Marking a significant milestone, Sebia India announced the launch of its ELISA-based Free Light Chain (FLC) assay, further strengthening its comprehensive Multiple Myeloma diagnostic portfolio. The assay measures free kappa and lambda immunoglobulin light chains and their ratio, providing valuable insights for the diagnosis and monitoring of plasma cell disorders, including Multiple Myeloma and AL amyloidosis. Complementing established technologies such as Serum Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) and Immunofixation/Immunotyping, the addition of FLC testing supports a more comprehensive approach to Multiple Myeloma diagnostics.

Commenting on this milestone, Hayden LEE VP -Commercial Operations APAC , maintained “Sebia has established itself as a leader in Multiple Myeloma screening and diagnostics through continuous innovation and scientific excellence. The introduction of Free Light Chain testing in India further strengthens our leadership position and expands our integrated diagnostic portfolio. Our focus remains on empowering laboratories and clinicians with advanced solutions that enable accurate diagnosis, effective disease monitoring, and better patient care.”

Sebia’s strong presence at IFCC WorldLab 2026 underscores its continued commitment to driving innovation, strengthening scientific partnerships, and advancing specialized diagnostics in India. By combining technological excellence with scientific education and comprehensive diagnostic solutions, Sebia continues to support healthcare professionals in delivering better outcomes for patients.
