SHALBY MULTISPECIALTY HOSPITALS LAUNCHES A HOSPITAL IN GWALIOR

This is an Orthopedics Specialty Hospital under Shalby Orthopedics Centre of Excellence Chain and is Shalby’s 14th Hospital in India

Shalby Multispecialty Hospitals, which operates a series of 13 hospitals under the parent company Shalby Limited has launched its 14th hospital. This was inaugurated in Gwalior on 21st January by Shalby’s Chairman & Managing Director Dr. Vikram Shah. Shalby is renowned for its orthopedic services across the world. It has performed more than 1,40,000 joint replacement surgeries in last 28 years, which is highest in the world.

The hospital in Gwalior has a capacity of 50 hospitals and it was launched under its Shalby Orthopedics Centre of Excellence (SOCE) chain of orthopedic hospitals. Three hospitals under this chain are already operational. These are in Ahmedabad, Udaipur and Lucknow. In total, this is Shalby’s 14th hospital in India. Gwalior’s SOCE was launched in partnership with Kailash Superspeciality Hospital, which is a NABH accredited well known hospital in the Gwalior Chambal region.

Shanay Shah, President, Shalby Limited says, “A large number of people from smaller cities need to travel large distances to larger cities for quality treatment presently. Through Shalby Orthopedics Centres of Excellence it is our aim to bridge this gap in orthopedics, which has always been our strength. We plan to establish 50 such orthopedics specialty centres in next 5 years across India, and have shortlisted 30 cities for this. One such centre in Aurangabad and one in Rajkot are in the pipeline and will be launched soon.”

With the opening of Shalby Orthopedics Centre of Excellence in Gwalior, people of the region will get best in class treatment for orthopedic disorders at their own doorstep. SOCE Gwalior will provide a wide range of orthopedic services including joint replacement surgeries and is equipped with state-of-the-art operation theatre, ICU and emergency department. Besides, it will give an opportunity to young and talented doctors of Gwalior to get associated with a world-class infrastructure set up by Shalby Hospitals in their own city.

With the addition of this hospital, Shalby now operates 14 hospitals in 11 cities across 6 states in India with a total bed capacity of 2200 beds. These are in Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore, Mumbai, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Udaipur, Mohali and Vapi.
