Reasons for joining the profession
As a growing child, he has seen the plight of his Grandmother who suffered greatly from Joint Pain and vowed to become an orthopedic surgeon and a specialist in Joint Replacement to help alleviate the pain of the elderly.

initial Challenges
Till early 90’s Total Knee Replacement (TKR) was one of the most dreaded surgeries, globally and the sentiments in India was neither conducive nor different. It took years of hard work, for the young Dr. Vikram to perfect and demonstrate his expertise in the field of Joint Replacement. A gradual but solid“ health reform movement” that he has been leading since then, helped penetrate the strong mental domain of the Indian populace for such a hi-end surgery and that too without any reference support of live examples, in the initial days.
