In honor of all mothers in India, Apollo Clinic, one of the leading chains of multi-specialty clinics in India has launched a ‘Mother’s Month’ campaign across India. As part of the campaign, the clinic chain is aiming to reduce India’s Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) burden by providing a Women’s Health Check Package at that will provide services in more than 88 health parameters.
Speaking on the campaign, Mr. Sushant Kinra, Head, Apollo Clinic said, “Women and mothers play a vital role in every Indian household. Thus, their health is of utmost importance for any family in India. At Apollo Clinic, we have always ensured that every woman visiting us leaves happier, healthier and well informed when it comes to their health. Although we celebrate Mother’s Day on one day, we decided to celebrate it throughout the month and thus launched this campaign. We would like as many women to avail this benefit and receive the best advise for their health through these checkups.”
In India, the prevalence of NCDs among women is 62 per 1000 women, which is much higher than men (36 per 100 men) as per a ORF study. The study highlighted that among elderly women, hypertension is the most common NCD (78 percent of respondents were reported to have the disease), followed by osteoarthritis (73 percent), diabetes (66 percent), and bronchial asthma (77 percent).
Recognizing the need to address this, the clinic chain had launched the health package this month. Women and mothers across India can claim multiple services as part of the health check this month. This includes complete blood count, liver function test, renal profile, lipid profile, X-Ray Chest, ECG and Dental Screening among others. Women can also avail services such as Pap Smear, Whole Abdomen Ultrasound Screening and Specialist Consultation as well.
The health check package will be available across all clinics until 31st May, 2024. Appointments for the same can be booked online of the clinic’s website, through call or by simply visiting a nearby clinic.
