In a major step toward strengthening primary healthcare delivery, BJP MP Rekha Gupta announced that 187 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will be established across Delhi by December 2025. The initiative is part of the government’s commitment to providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare to every citizen under the Ayushman Bharat mission.
Speaking about the development, Gupta stated that these centres will serve as first points of contact for healthcare needs, focusing on preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative services. The Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will also help in early disease detection and management of non-communicable diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and cancer.
She added, “The government’s vision is to ensure that no citizen is deprived of basic healthcare facilities. These Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will bridge the gap between communities and advanced medical infrastructure.”
The initiative aligns with the Centre’s goal of operationalizing 1.5 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across India, transforming the nation’s primary healthcare system into a comprehensive and equitable network.
The upcoming facilities will also integrate AYUSH practices, telemedicine services, and health awareness programs, promoting holistic wellbeing and preventive healthcare in urban and rural areas of Delhi.
