AIG Hospitals, based in Hyderabad, has entered into a partnership with Johnson & Johnson MedTech to roll out the Polyphonic Surgery system – a connected digital platform built to streamline surgical processes, foster teamwork, and support clinical education.
The hospital noted that this partnership reflects AIG Hospitals’ larger commitment to blending clinical expertise with academic pursuits, research initiatives, digital transformation, and AI-driven healthcare capabilities.
At its core, the programme focuses on strengthening secure video-based review of surgeries, improving coordination among teams, and enabling structured training and knowledge exchange across departments.
A Digitally Connected Approach to Surgery
The Polyphonic Surgery platform brings together surgical video documentation, collaborative tools, and educational resources within a single, unified digital space.
Its purpose is to allow surgical teams to go back and review completed procedures, analyse individual cases, and hold organised discussions that support both learning and skill development after operations conclude.
Beyond this, the system is built to improve how surgeons, operating room staff, and resident doctors work together – giving them shared access to surgical footage and training material through one integrated platform.
As part of the rollout, the initiative involves practical, everyday use of the system alongside continuous input from surgeons, OR staff, resident physicians, IT teams, and hospital administrators, all working together to assess how well the technology fits into current clinical processes.
