Bilaspur, : AIIMS Bilaspur has announced plans for a significant capacity expansion, aiming to scale up to 960 beds, in a major step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility and advanced medical services in the region.

The proposed expansion is expected to strengthen the institute’s ability to cater to increasing patient demand, while improving access to specialized and tertiary care services. The move will support the development of additional clinical departments, expansion of existing facilities, and enhancement of critical care infrastructure.

According to officials, the capacity boost will be accompanied by investments in advanced medical equipment, infrastructure development, and human resource augmentation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric care. The expansion is also likely to reduce patient load on nearby healthcare facilities by improving regional service availability.

AIIMS Bilaspur, one of the newer institutions under the All India Institute of Medical Sciences network, has been playing a crucial role in strengthening public healthcare delivery in the region.
