Visakhapatnam, India 2026 : The Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) has launched Dentic World Private Limited, India’s first-of-its-kind dental MedTech startup and innovation hub, established within its campus in Visakhapatnam. India’s dental sector remains heavily import-dependent, with nearly 85–90% of dental equipment and critical materials sourced from overseas, limiting access to advanced and affordable dental care. The domestic manufacturing ecosystem for dental devices is still at an early stage, with gaps in high-precision tooling, dental biomaterials, and digital CAD/CAMbased production. This dependence results in higher costs, longer lead times, and limited customization, particularly affecting smaller clinics and emerging markets. Dentic World has been established to address this critical gap with a clear mission: to enable India to design, develop, and manufacture its own dental technologies. The hub is designed to support startups, dental colleges, researchers, and industry stakeholders, while ultimately serving lakhs of dentists across the country by enabling faster adoption of innovation. Operating under the strategic guidance of Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO of AMTZ, and led by CEO Krishna Sai Inkoolu, the hub provides integrated support across research and development, dental-specific design services, precision manufacturing, testing and clinical validation, and commercialization. A key focus area of Dentic World will be the development and manufacture of critical dental products such as zirconia discs for dental crowns, nextgeneration dental implants, and other high-value consumables that are currently importdependent. Backed by AMTZ’s integrated ecosystem—featuring shared facilities for sterilization, testing, regulatory support, and advanced manufacturing—Dentic World significantly lowers entry barriers for innovators and startups. Supported by advanced infrastructure, including 5- axis CNC milling machines, industrial 3D printers, and digital CAD/CAM workflows, and aligned with ISO 13485:2016-certified quality standards, the hub enables the development of globally compliant, export-ready dental technologies. The platform is driving innovation across next-generation digital orthodontics, AIenabled dental treatments, 3D-printed dental solutions, and advanced systems for early detection of oral cancer, reflecting a strong focus on technology-driven and accessible healthcare. By leveraging the unique capabilities of the AMTZ ecosystem, Dentic World is expected to catalyze indigenous manufacturing, strengthen supply chains, and foster industryacademia collaboration in the dental sector. This initiative will reduce import dependence, improve affordability, and expand access to high-quality dental care. Dentic World aligns with the broader Make in India vision and positions Visakhapatnam as an emerging hub for dental technology manufacturing.
