What are the biggest advancements your hospital is currently investing in, and how will they improve patient care over the next few years?

Healthcare is witnessing one of its most transformative phases, and our focus at ShardaCare is to ensure that technology meaningfully enhances patient experiences and outcomes rather than simply adding sophistication. We are making strategic investments across any or every such advancements, be it advanced diagnostics, digital healthcare infrastructure or precision medicine etc to redefine the way care is delivered, and needless to say, what has become more or less a norm in the modern healthcare, the advanced robotic-assisted surgery programs!

Our key surgical specialties like Surgical Oncology, Urology, Gynecology, General Surgery, etc, are well covered with the most advanced technologies that they have at their disposal that has been enabling our surgeons to perform highly precise, minimally invasive procedures, translating into smaller incisions, reduced blood loss, quicker recovery and improved patient outcomes.

Alongside this, we continue to strengthen our advanced cancer program, transplant services, critical care capabilities and AI-enabled digital ecosystem. Our vision is to build a future-ready healthcare institution where technology, clinical expertise and compassionate care work seamlessly together to deliver safer, smarter and more personalized healthcare.

Hospital infrastructure is rapidly evolving. What emerging technologies or smart hospital initiatives are you most excited about?

The concept of a hospital is evolving from being a physical healthcare facility into an intelligent, digitally connected ecosystem. At ShardaCare, we have embraced this transformation by building an AI-enabled, digitally integrated environment that supports clinicians, improves operational efficiency and enhances patient safety.

I am particularly excited about technologies that enable interoperability across departments, real-time clinical decision support, predictive analytics, digital patient records and intelligent hospital management systems. These innovations are reducing delays, improving coordination and enabling clinicians to make faster, evidence-based decisions.

Equally important is the use of automation in patient flow management, diagnostics and emergency response. As healthcare becomes increasingly data-driven, smart hospitals will not simply become more efficient, they will become more proactive, predictive and personalized.

Artificial Intelligence is becoming an integral part of healthcare. How is your hospital leveraging AI in clinical care, diagnostics, surgeries, administration, and patient engagement?

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept; it is becoming an integral part of modern healthcare delivery. At ShardaCare, we see AI as an enabler that empowers clinicians and other care givers.
Across our hospital, AI-supported digital systems assist in clinical workflows, enhance diagnostic accuracy, improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. Our integrated digital infrastructure enables faster access to patient information, reduces administrative burden and allows clinicians and care givers to devote more time to patient care.

AI is also playing an increasingly important role in imaging, diagnostics, predictive analytics and patient engagement by enabling personalized communication and proactive follow-up. The introduction of most advanced robotic-assisted surgery through the da Vinci Surgical System further complements this technology-driven ecosystem by combining digital precision with the expertise of highly skilled surgeons.

While technology continues to evolve, we firmly believe that empathy, clinical judgement and human expertise will always remain central to healthcare with a strong backing of AI to strengthen clinical decision-making.

Healthcare continues to face shortages of doctors and nursing staff. What strategies has your hospital adopted to address this challenge?

The shortage of skilled healthcare professionals is one of the most significant challenges facing healthcare systems globally. Addressing this challenge requires long-term investment in education, continuous professional development and creating workplaces where healthcare professionals can thrive.

One of ShardaCare’s greatest strengths is that we are part of an integrated healthcare ecosystem that includes Sharda University and Sharda Medical College. This enables us to develop a strong talent pipeline by nurturing future doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals while also attracting experienced clinicians from across the country.

Equally important is creating an environment where professionals are empowered through advanced technology, continuous learning opportunities, multidisciplinary collaboration and strong clinical governance.

Patient expectations have changed dramatically. How is your hospital enhancing the overall patient experience while maintaining clinical excellence?

Today, patients expect far more than excellent clinical outcomes. They seek transparency, convenience, timely communication, personalized care and confidence throughout their healthcare journey. Meeting these expectations requires hospitals to look beyond treatment and focus on the complete patient experience.

At ShardaCare, we are integrating technology with compassion to create a seamless care journey, from appointment scheduling and digital registration to diagnostics, treatment, discharge and follow-up. Our patient-centric approach is supported by AI-enabled digital systems, dedicated care coordinators, streamlined processes and multidisciplinary clinical teams working collaboratively to ensure continuity of care.

While patient experience continues to evolve, our commitment to clinical excellence remains unwavering. Every technology investment, every process improvement and every service innovation is ultimately designed to achieve one objective which is better outcomes for our patients.
