One example is Philips’ integration with smartQare, whose viQtor wearable can capture vital-sign data continuously and transmit it to Philips monitoring platforms, where information can be visualised as part of a continuous patient record. The ecosystem is built around Philips’ broader strategy of enabling open and vendor-neutral interoperability, allowing healthcare organisations to integrate technologies from multiple manufacturers.

Philips has identified patient monitoring as a major connected-care opportunity. The company’s 2026 investor materials state that Philips has approximately 54% market share in its estimated patient-monitoring equipment market and that one out of every two patient monitors globally is part of its installed base.
