- The state-of-the-art technology is redefining the digital lab of the future
- Expanding precision medicine, ARTIS icono is designed to enable a wide procedure mix in a single interventional suite
- Highly flexible bi-plane positioning with seamlessly performing 2D and 3D acquisition using twin spin – a new intuitive model design that makes procedures fast
The new ARTIS icono systems adapts flexibly to the differing needs of cardiovascular interventions, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, and vascular interventions. In addition to the multidisciplinary approach, connectivity and digitalization of interventional labs are becoming increasingly important. The ARTIS icono provides a uniform interface to enable system parameters to be shared easily with devices from other manufacturers with its Third-Party Broker solution.
ARTIS icono comes with OPTIQ imaging which enables constant image quality regardless of procedure, patient size, or C-arm angulation. It uses a contrast-driven technique based on automatic parametrization and intelligent, self-adjusting algorithms ensuring the ALARA dose principle
The angiography system is enabled with significantly superior 2D and 3D imaging, improving image quality, and reducing the radiation required. With an enhanced movement of the C-arm with Sine Spin, the cranial base and skull cap can now be depicted with practically no artifacts in a 3D visualization.
As per an independent study* on Burden of Strokes in India, stroke burden in India is quite high. One of the major reasons for this is restricted physical activity, higher intake of processed food and increase workplace stress leading to development of type-2 diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyper-lipedema. Timely and accurate diagnosis of neurological disorders will help provide the best treatment to patients. ARTIS icono Biplane will help stroke centers deal with dual challenge of treating more patients, faster with greater accuracy.
Sharing her thoughts on this latest development, Sadhana Sheth, Vice President and Head of Advanced Therapies, Siemens Healthineers, India, said “We at Siemens Healthineers are poised at creating solutions that set new standards in image quality and workflow for minimally invasive procedures. With the increasing complexity of such interventions, the importance of angiography systems is increasing for effective patient care. The multidisciplinary use of ARTIS icono ensures optimum utilization of Angio labs, enabling healthcare providers to offer a broader range of interventions. Stroke patients can now be directly considered for angiography, shortening the lead time before the vascular occlusion is removed. ARTIS icono will thus improve the quality of treatment for patients, therefore expanding the scope of precision medicine to advance therapy options.”
