The chairman of SLG Hospital, Dandu Shiva Ramaraju, has pledged to eliminate cardiac issues in the areas of Nizampet, Pragathinagar, Bachupalli, and Miyapur and has requested the support of the locals in this endeavor. In observance of World Heart Day on Friday, a 5K run was held from the hospital to Bachupalli water tank and back to the hospital. The run was attended by Hospital ED DVS Somaraju, Department of Internal Medicine Medical Director Dr. Shankar Krishna, Emergency HoD Dr. Appireddy, Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Bhanukiran Reddy, Cardiologists Dr. Venu, Dr. Vikas, Dr. Kavitha, and others. Nearly 800 people from nearby areas participated and completed the 5 km run. Chairman Siva Ramaraju, during the launch of the 5K run, stated that the World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 20 million individuals die each year due to heart disease worldwide. Therefore, on this World Heart Day, SLG Hospital has committed to eliminating heart disease in all areas within a 10 km radius of the hospital. Several programs have been announced as part of this objective, including a month-long angiogram examination package for Rs. 4,999. During this month, anyone who requires an angiogram test based on medical advice can get it done at the hospital by paying only Rs. 4,999.

One Lakh ECGs free of cost

Dandu Siva Ramaraju has announced that one lakh ECGs will be provided free of charge from Friday until September 29, 2024. To achieve this, medical camps will be held in parks, housing societies, and apartments in the surrounding areas during morning and evening hours. ECGs will be provided free of charge to all individuals over 20 years old. If any problems are discovered, free consultation services will be available at SLG Hospitals.

Free training in CPR

According to DVS Somaraju, the hospital’s Executive Director, individuals living in the surrounding areas will receive free CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training. Anyone over the age of 20 is welcome to participate in the training, which will equip them with the skills to perform CPR in the future. Somaraju stressed that CPR is a life-saving technique that can be used to help those experiencing a heart attack. He emphasized the importance of individuals trained in CPR being present in public places to protect and save the lives of those in need.
