The comprehensive Women & Child Wing is designed to support mothers and newborns at every stage. It features a state-of-the-art Level III NICU for critically ill or premature babies, along with cutting-edge medical technology and modern infrastructure.
In a move that brings together compassion, technology, and clinical excellence, Medicover Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, has launched its ‘Open House Visit Women & Child Wing featuring a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The initiative was unveiled during an open house visit on June 30th, offering visitors an inside look at the hospital’s cutting-edge infrastructure for mothers and newborns. With this facility, the hospital aims to provide seamless antenatal to postnatal care under one roof, with 24/7 neonatology and pediatric critical care support.
Mothers often face several challenges during pregnancy, such as high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, or premature labour, while newborns may struggle with breathing issues, infections, or low birth weight. “During complicated cases, timely and advanced care becomes life-saving. A Level III NICU provides specialised support for critically ill or premature babies with around-the-clock monitoring and expert care. With the launch of this dedicated Women & Child Wing, the goal is to ensure both mothers and newborns receive the care they need under one roof, from pregnancy through recovery,” said Dr Kalpana Gupta, Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
“Newborns, especially those born prematurely or with complications, need very specialized care. Our Cluster 3 NICU facility consists of advanced monitoring, ventilation, and life-support systems tailored to each baby’s needs. What makes this unit special is not just the technology but the dedicated team of neonatologists, nurses, and pediatric intensivists, who work around the clock to provide personalized and family-centered care,” said Dr Anuranjita Pallavi, Consultant Gynecologist & Infertility Specialist.
We also focus on educating parents during this emotionally challenging time, so they feel involved and empowered throughout the journey. The facility also offers specialized antenatal and postnatal care for smooth and safe pregnancy, “said Dr Tanmesh Kumar Sahu, Consultant Neonatologist and NICU In Charge.
“This launch is our commitment to delivering complete and compassionate care to women and children. From antenatal counseling and gynecological care to critical neonatal support, our team is here to guide families every step of the way. We are proud to introduce a service that combines world-class infrastructure with the warmth and empathy every mother and child deserves,” concluded Neeraj Lal, Regional Director for the Maharashtra and Karnataka Region at Medicover Hospitals.
