In a landmark gathering aimed at enhancing India’s stature as a global leader in Medical Value Travel (MVT), Medgate Today, in partnership with Advance Media Group and mobility support from Kinetic Prosthetic & Orthotic Rehab Centre, hosted the Medical Value Travel Facilitators & Translators Meet at Kinetic’s flagship facility in Jasola, New Delhi, Organized by Medgate Today, Powered by Advance Media Group & Mobility Partner: Kinetic Prosthetic & Orthotic Rehab Centre

Opening with Vision: Global Healing Begins with Local Excellence
The event opened with an impactful inaugural address by Mr. Afzal Kamal, Founder & CEO of Kinetic Rehab Centre and Editor-in-Chief of Medgate Today. Addressing a diverse gathering of MVT professionals, Mr. Kamal emphasized India’s transformation from a treatment destination to a full-spectrum healing ecosystem. He underscored the importance of building trust, engaging internationally, and offering post-treatment rehabilitation as a key differentiator for India’s healthcare sector.
“At Kinetic, we aim not only to treat but to transform. And through Medgate Today, we’re building international bridges of healing. Our upcoming missions to countries like South Africa, Kenya, and the UAE are a testament to our proactive global outreach,” he said.
Special Address: Rehabilitation as India’s Soft Power in Healthcare
Delivering the special guest address, Dr. Afzal Siddiqui highlighted India’s immense untapped potential in global rehabilitation. He called for recognition of facilitators, translators, and care navigators as the backbone of successful medical travel experiences. “Rehabilitation is not an optional service; it is core to sustained healing. Cultural sensitivity, post-operative continuity, and translator support are critical to building trust with international patients,” Dr. Siddiqui emphasized.

Critical Dialogues: Addressing Gaps and Building Bridges
Two focused panel discussions were held during the evening. The first explored the vital role of facilitators and translators in international patient care — spotlighting the need for cross-cultural communication, emotional support, and guided rehab pathways. The second panel examined how India can increase international patient footfall, particularly from Africa, GCC, and CIS countries. Key suggestions included partnerships with embassies, digital pre-treatment screening, and integrating rehabilitation into core treatment packages.
The sessions concluded with a clear consensus: India must formalize and professionalize its MVT framework to ensure quality, empathy, and follow-up care are built into every patient’s journey.
Centre for Advanced Rehabilitation
A milestone moment was the official launch of the Centre for Advanced Rehab at Kinetic by the Centre Head. This new vertical is designed to meet the unique needs of international patients, offering cutting-edge solutions in prosthetics & orthotics rehabilitation. The center will function as a world-class recovery hub for complex cases requiring extended rehab support post-surgery.
Conclusion: India’s Call to Lead with Empathy and Innovation
The evening closed with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a strong call to action: for India to truly lead in global healthcare, it must deliver not just treatment, but total healing — supported by trust, technology, and an empathetic care model. Dinner and networking followed, giving facilitators and international health partners a chance to tour the facility and engage directly with the care teams at Kinetic.
This impactful gathering reaffirmed India’s role as a rising powerhouse in global medical value travel — driven by innovation, inclusive care, and a deep commitment to patient dignity.
