IHH Healthcare, a leading multinational hospital operator, has announced a bold plan to add approximately 2,000 new beds to its India operations by 2028, reinforcing its commitment to improving healthcare capacity, accessibility, and quality across the country. The announcement follows IHH’s recent brand transformation, emphasizing integrated patient-centric care and operational efficiency.

This expansion will be driven by its flagship brands, Fortis Healthcare and Gleneagles Healthcare India, via new hospitals and strategic partnerships, including the management of a new 550-bed super specialty hospital in Lucknow in collaboration with the Ekana Group. Currently, IHH operates more than 5,000 beds across 35 hospitals in 11 Indian states.

Group CEO Dr. Prem Kumar Nair stated, “With our refreshed brand identity and multi-year growth strategy, IHH is shaping the future of care in India. Our expansion plan will not only create jobs and foster innovation but also reduce the burden on public hospitals by delivering faster access and specialist services to patients”.

IHH Healthcare’s network extends globally, operating premier hospitals in Turkey, Singapore, and North Asia, and its India expansion highlights its expertise in operational excellence and sustainable growth.
