This exclusive clinic from the house of Ankura Hospitals is dedicated to providing high quality services in managing respiratory allergies in children, offering the latest in diagnosis, investigations, treatment, and prevention for asthma, allergic bronchitis, allergic rhinitis, recurrent coughs, wheezing, and lung issues.

Ankura Hospital for Women & Children has launched “Breathe Easy Clinic”, a one-stop solution designed to manage and treat respiratory allergies in children. This specialized clinic aims to provide timely diagnosis, personalized treatment, and long-term management for allergic respiratory illnesses, which are increasingly affecting children today.

The clinic will be led by experienced specialists, including Dr Abhimanyu Sengupta, Senior Consultant Pediatrician, and Dr Mounnish Balaji, Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist, Allergy & Sleep Specialist, who bring extensive expertise in managing complex respiratory and allergy-related conditions in children.

Respiratory problems such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, bronchitis, recurrent cough and cold, wheezing, sleep-related breathing disorders, and pediatric lung problems are on the rise. Changing lifestyles with less outdoor activity and poor diet take a toll on childrens’ immune systems. Urban pollution from traffic, dust, and industrial emissions irritates young lungs, while seasonal triggers like pollen, humidity, and sudden weather changes often spark symptoms such as cough, wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, and fatigue. Breathe Easy Clinic has been designed to address these concerns with a holistic and child-friendly approach.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr Abhimanyu Sengupta said, “Children with respiratory allergies often suffer silently, with parents mistaking symptoms for routine coughs or seasonal issues. Early evaluation and targeted care can improve a child’s health, school performance, and day-to-day comfort. We are committed to providing specialized pediatric care, ensuring children receive the right support for a healthier, allergy-free future.”

Adding to this, Dr Mounnish Balaji emphasized, “Our focus at Breathe Easy Clinic is not only treatment but also prevention and education. We will guide families with the aim of sensitising them to lifestyle changes, environmental control and long-term strategies to help children with respiratory allergies breathe freely and live healthier lives.”
