The Government of Andhra Pradesh has strengthened its preventive healthcare strategy with the rollout of a comprehensive 47-test health screening scheme delivered through mobile medical units, aimed at expanding access to diagnostics across rural and underserved communities.

The initiative enables doorstep delivery of essential health tests, covering a wide spectrum of conditions including non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as key diagnostic parameters related to anemia, liver and kidney function, and general health assessment. By leveraging mobile healthcare infrastructure, the state aims to promote early detection, reduce disease burden, and encourage timely medical intervention.

Designed to bridge healthcare accessibility gaps, the mobile units are equipped with diagnostic tools and supported by trained healthcare professionals, ensuring quality screening services at the community level. The program is expected to significantly reduce out-of-pocket expenditure for patients while improving health awareness and routine screening uptake.
