Philips Patient Monitoring Ecosystem Expands with Six New Partnerships

Global health technology company Royal Philips has expanded its patient monitoring ecosystem through collaborations with six healthcare technology companies: Blue Spark Technologies, Caretaker Medical, Cuviva, LifeSignals, Respiree and smartQare. The partnerships are designed to extend connected patient monitoring beyond hospitals and support more continuous care across hospital, transitional and home-based settings.

Bridging Data Gaps Across the Care Continuum

The collaborations will expand Philips’ existing wearable and out-of-hospital monitoring capabilities by integrating data from third-party technologies into its patient monitoring ecosystem. The approach is intended to give clinicians greater visibility into patients as they move between different stages of care, helping bridge data gaps and support more connected clinical workflows.  Explore Philips Patient Monitoring Solutions

Supporting Chronic, Post-Acute and Transitional Care

Through the partnerships, Philips aims to support monitoring of patients beyond traditional hospital environments, including those requiring chronic-care, post-acute and transitional monitoring. The company said connected monitoring can help clinicians identify early signs of patient deterioration, support timely intervention and potentially reduce avoidable readmissions while extending clinical oversight into home and community settings.

A Closer Look: The smartQare viQtor Integration

One example is Philips’ integration with smartQare, whose viQtor wearable can capture vital-sign data continuously and transmit it to Philips monitoring platforms, where information can be visualised as part of a continuous patient record. The ecosystem is built around Philips’ broader strategy of enabling open and vendor-neutral interoperability, allowing healthcare organisations to integrate technologies from multiple manufacturers.

Philips’ Scale in Patient Monitoring

Philips has identified patient monitoring as a major connected-care opportunity. The company’s 2026 investor materials state that Philips has approximately 54% market share in its estimated patient-monitoring equipment market and that one out of every two patient monitors globally is part of its installed base. The company is also expanding its ecosystem across medical devices, electronic medical records and AI-enabled technologies.

Part of a Broader Shift Toward Hospital-at-Home Models

The latest partnerships come as healthcare systems increasingly shift towards connected and hospital-at-home models. In May 2026, a Philips-led consortium was selected for Region Stockholm’s hospital-at-home initiative, which is expected to support remote monitoring for up to 15,000 patients annually and cover more than 2 million people across the region. What This Means for the Future of Patient Monitoring

With these collaborations, Philips is positioning interoperability, wearable monitoring and connected data as key components of its patient-monitoring strategy, aiming to provide clinicians with a more continuous view of patients across the healthcare journey. About Philips Healthcare
