A good diet cannot fix what sitting all day breaks.

A good diet will help fix elevated blood markers in the Lipid Profile, KFT, LFT etc. but a good diet without exercise won’t help fight age related muscle atrophy.

Since time immemorial the tried and tested tool to combat age related muscle atrophy is strength training.

In men, strength training especially compound lifts such as squat, bench press, dead lift help boost Testosterone Levels and consistent weight training helps maintain healthy hormone levels thereby helping elderly men fight andropause (age related decline in male hormone levels).

There are numerous benefits resistance training has on our bodies such as strong muscles, strong ligaments and tendons, better hormone profile which translates into more muscle mass and better libido  a good exercise regime makes a person mentally strong. As they say  when you rub your hands on iron, your mind also becomes as tough as iron.

One and one make eleven  this is evident from the fact that when a good nutrition protocol is combined with exercise (Cardio + Weights)  it helps strengthen our cardiovascular system. Regular Cardio over a period of time helps lower resting heart rate, a diet monitored with sodium and potassium intake, quality & quantity of food helps keep our blood markers healthy and regular strength training helps improve our heart rate recovery (HRR).

A healthy diet can help busy professionals drop those extra pounds who don’t have time to hit the gym, packing on muscle mass is a game of sincerity and hard work. The sweat and hustle in the gym is non negotiable when it comes to building muscle.

Our mental health is just as important as our physical health  the gym or some form of exercise helps elevate our Dopamine Levels and exercise is very important as far as cognition, memory and brain function goes. So the message is eat well and train well. Good Training, Good Nutrition and Good Sleep will help you tread on a victorious path.
