In an extraordinary celebration of leadership, compassion, innovation, and transformative impact, the prestigious Custodian of Humanity Awards & HPIE Awards 2026 concluded successfully in New Delhi, honouring some of India’s most influential healthcare leaders, visionary institutions, architects, innovators, social reformers, educators, and changemakers.

 

 

Organized under the aegis of Integrated Global Health Mission (IGHM) alongside the Healthcare Planning & Infrastructure Expo/Conference (HPIE) 2026, the awards ceremony emerged as one of India’s most distinguished recognition platforms celebrating excellence across healthcare, public service, medical sciences, infrastructure, sustainability, education, technology, architecture, wellness, and humanitarian leadership.

 

 

The grand evening witnessed participation from more than 500 distinguished delegates and stakeholders, including senior healthcare leaders, policymakers, hospital administrators, architects, academicians, MedTech pioneers, innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, public health experts, industry captains, and institutional leaders from across the country.

 

 

The prestigious gathering was led by Afzal Kamal, Patron & Mentor of IGHM and GMAAF, whose visionary leadership has continuously driven impactful national dialogue around healthcare transformation, infrastructure advancement, MedTech innovation, public health policy, and humanitarian initiatives.

 

 

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kamal emphasized that the future of healthcare lies in collaborative ecosystems built on compassion, innovation, sustainability, technology, and patient centric leadership.

 

 

The evening was graced by legendary Indian cinema icon Raza Murad as Chief Guest, adding immense prestige and inspiration to the celebration.

 

 

The Guests of Honour included Dr. (Hony.) Brig. Anil Kohli and Dr. (Prof.) D.S. Rana  two of India’s most respected and influential healthcare leaders whose contributions have shaped the nation’s healthcare landscape for decades.

 

 

The awards ceremony celebrated individuals and institutions whose contributions transcend professional excellence and create meaningful societal impact.

 

 

Celebrating Lifetime Leadership & National Impact

One of the highest honours of the evening, the Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Leadership in Education & Women Empowerment, was conferred upon Prof. Dr. Ranjana Jha for her exceptional contribution towards higher education, renewable energy research, scientific advancement, and women empowerment.

 

 

Prof. Brijesh Kumar received the award for Excellence in Academic Leadership & Healthcare Education, recognizing his contribution towards strengthening innovation driven academic ecosystems and future ready education.

 

 

The award for Excellence in Architectural Governance & Regulatory Leadership was presented to Ar. Gajanand Ram for his contribution towards institutional leadership, governance, and advancement of India’s architectural ecosystem.

 

 

The Lifetime Achievement Award for Sustainable Healthcare Infrastructure & Global Health Systems Leadership conferred to Dr. R. Chandrashekhar, recognized as a pioneer in healthcare architecture and medical infrastructure planning in India.

 

 

The Custodian Award for Lifetime Achievement in MedTech Space was presented to Anjan Bose for his transformative contribution towards India’s MedTech ecosystem and healthcare technology leadership.

 

 

The evening concluded with the prestigious Custodian Lifetime Achievement Award being conferred upon Dr. Dev Raj Rai for his enduring contribution towards clinical excellence, healthcare leadership, and strengthening patient care systems.
