Debabrata Auro Foundation (DAF) NGO, in collaboration with The Esthetic Clinics, had announced a Fungal Infection Check-Up Camp dedicated to the health and well-being of the brave police officers serving at Vakola Police Station.

Fungal infections can occur on the skin, nails, and in various internal organs, often presenting with symptoms such as itching, redness, or discharge. It’s crucial to seek medical attention if you suspect a fungal infection, as early diagnosis and treatment can prevent more serious health issues. Ignoring a fungal infection may lead to it spreading to other parts of the body or even causing systemic infections. Additionally, those with weakened immune systems due to conditions such as diabetes or HIV are particularly susceptible to severe fungal infections and should be vigilant about seeking prompt medical care. Regular screenings and maintaining good hygiene practices are essential for preventing the spread of fungal infections and ensuring overall health.

This initiative demonstrates a proactive effort to support the health of frontline heroes and promote awareness about preventive measures in the face of challenging times. Around 27 police officers and staff underwent free skin fungal infection check-ups.

The Debabrata-Auro Foundation (DAF) was started in memory of Dr.Debabrata Shome, a humanitarian extraordinaire and visionary. The DAF NGO works for children’s education, and women’s empowerment, contributes to health and hygiene awareness, and works for underprivileged area development. The main aim of this initiative is not only to address immediate health issues but also to express gratitude for the unwavering dedication of the police force. This collaboration underscores both organizations’ commitment to giving back to the community and ensuring the well-being of individuals in high-risk professions such as law enforcement.
