The Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI), a leading national Non-Profit Organization dedicated to promoting public health awareness and ensuring affordable healthcare access for all, is proud to announce the much-anticipated 30th edition of the Perfect Health Mela. This year’s event is scheduled to take place at Dilli Haat Pitampura on October 27th and 28th, 2023. The theme of the  mela is Holistic Wellbeing.

HCFI has been actively engaged in creating mass health awareness since its inception in 1986. It was the vision of Dr KK Aggarwal to ensure public health awareness and access to affordable healthcare for all. To this end, the HCFI has been organizing the Perfect Health Mela (PHM) annually since 1993 around the concept of one health for people from all walks of life using infotainment modules.

The Mela brings together different  organizations, including central and Delhi state departments, PSUs, schools, and colleges. As a cornerstone of community health, the Mela has consistently provided free health check-ups, disseminated  health and well-being information, and educated the public on various preventive health-related subjects. Jamia Hamdard, Holy Family College of Nursing, Bharti Public School, Maxfort Public School, and Mount Abu Public School are the co-hosts for the Mela this year.

Speaking about this, Dr Veena Aggarwal, Trustee, Heart Care Foundation of India, said, “For three decades, the Perfect Health Mela has been instrumental in fostering a culture of holistic wellbeing. It is a platform that not only provides essential health services but also empowers individuals with the knowledge to take charge of their health.”

Adding further, Naina Aggarwal, Trustee, Heart Care Foundation of India, said, “We are happy to carry forward the exemplary vision of Padma Shri Awardee Dr K K Aggarwal who wanted to spread his knowledge to everyone in a manner that was simple and educational. We are thankful to everyone who has supported us always and continues to do so, and look forward to 2 days of insightful sessions and events.”

This year’s Mela aims to further this mission through a range of engaging activities and services. People attending can look forward to free health check-ups, consultations with renowned medical professionals, exhibitions showcasing various government health schemes, workshops on alternative medicines, and engaging workshops on CPR, Yoga, Laughter Yoga, and Meditation, among other activities. Students from over 50 schools and colleges will be a part of this event.

The 30th edition of the Perfect Health Mela is set to be a comprehensive and interactive health extravaganza, promoting the importance of preventive healthcare and holistic wellness. The event is free and open to the public, encouraging people from all walks of life to participate actively and take proactive measures towards a healthier future.
