Medicover Hospitals organized Movementum 2026, a special initiative by its JOINT ROBO – Robotic Joint Replacement Centre, to celebrate recovery, renewed mobility, and the positive outcomes achieved through advanced joint replacement care. The event featured a range of engaging activities, including games, music, physiotherapy sessions, and wellness focused interactions aimed at encouraging movement, promoting joint health, and inspiring individuals on their recovery journey.

The event was attended by Dr. Pramod Bhor, Director of Orthopaedics, Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeon, and Orthopedic Surgeon, along with more than 100 patients and caregivers. Adding to the significance of the occasion, renowned television actress Gauri Tonk graced the event as the Chief Guest, interacting with attendees and supporting the initiative aimed at promoting awareness about joint health and patient well-being. The celebration highlighted the advancements in robotic assisted joint replacement while reinforcing the importance of rehabilitation and physical activity in achieving successful long term outcomes. It also showcased inspiring recovery journeys of individuals who regained confidence, improved mobility, and returned to active, pain free, and independent lives following surgery, reflecting the transformative impact of advanced orthopedic care.

Joint disorders are becoming increasingly common among both older and younger individuals due to factors such as osteoarthritis, obesity, sedentary lifestyles, sports injuries, previous trauma, and age related wear and tear. Symptoms seen in patients are persistent knee or hip pain, stiffness, swelling, difficulty walking, reduced mobility, and challenges in performing daily activities. If left untreated, severe joint degeneration can affect quality of life, leading to chronic pain, deformity, loss of independence, and reduced physical activity. “Robotic joint replacement surgery has emerged as a transformative solution for patients suffering from advanced joint disease. The technology offers enhanced precision, personalized surgical planning, better implant positioning, minimal damage to surrounding tissues, reduced blood loss, faster recovery, and improved long-term outcomes. Robotic-assisted procedures are commonly used for knee replacement, hip replacement, and complex joint reconstruction surgeries, enabling patients to regain mobility and return to their normal routines sooner,” said Dr. Pramod Bhor, Director of Orthopaedics, Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeon & Orthopedic Surgeon, Medicover Hospitals, Navi Mumbai.

Dr. Pramod Bhor further added, “Our goal has always been to provide precision-driven treatment that reduces pain, improves mobility, and enhances quality of life. Movementum 2026 is a celebration of every patient who chose to take a step towards recovery and regained confidence in movement. The event brought together our patients through activities such as the Walk of Confidence, Sit-to-Stand Challenge, Slow Walking Challenge, physiotherapy sessions, recovery story sharing, and interactive games. These activities are designed not only to celebrate their progress but also to encourage continued physical activity, build confidence, promote awareness about joint health, and motivate patients by connecting them with others who have successfully overcome similar mobility challenges. Seeing patients walk comfortably, participate enthusiastically, and share their recovery stories is what makes events like Movementum 2026 truly meaningful. Having completed 1,000 successful robotic assisted joint replacement surgeries, it’s truly rewarding to see patients regain mobility and return to a healthier, more active life.”

Mr Neeraj Lal, Regional Director for the Maharashtra and Karnataka Region at Medicover Hospitals, said, “At Medicover Hospitals, we continuously strive to strengthen our orthopaedic services through advanced technology, specialized expertise, and patient focused care. Our goal is to help individuals achieve better mobility and greater comfort through comprehensive joint care.”

Sandip Joshi, (Centre Head), Medicover Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, said, “Through Movementum 2026, we wanted to create a platform where patients could celebrate their progress, interact with healthcare experts, learn more about maintaining joint health, and draw inspiration from the experiences of fellow patients.”
