Rishihood University, a social impact university, with a vision to reimagine the Indian healthcare ecosystem, and develop competent healthcare professionals across India, today announced the upcoming launch of the Rishihood School of Healthcare. Considering the need, both at the national & international levels, the university is launching its state-of-the-art School of Healthcare for its first cohort, from the academic session 2021-22 onwards. The School of Healthcare will be offering various UG & PG degree programmes, such as B.Sc. Prof. John Quelch, Vice Provost, University of Miami and former professor Harvard School of Public Health, will be delivering the inaugural lecture of ‘Building a Culture of Health’. The school of healthcare is a residential program and will be housed in the state of the art 25-acre Rishihood University Campus in Sonipat.

The university also plans to enter into strategic partnerships with leading hospitals, R&D labs and healthcare providers, to ensure ample training opportunities for students, as well as providing the necessary exposure to the latest healthcare technology. The programmes will focus upon some emerging areas in healthcare management such as blockchain, digital health, 3-D printing, AI, AR/VR, IOT, m-health, to name a few. Considering these challenges, Rishihood School of Healthcare will be exclusively dedicated to provide best in class education, aligned with industry best practices, to future healthcare professionals. The vision is to effectively aid Universal Health Coverage (UHC) 2030 goals planned by the Government of India.

The courses have been designed to help the students to develop a high level of expertise & technical skills with detailed learning. A blend of theory, practice, and clinical exposure will help professionals understand current and future trends, thereby preparing them for the workplace or further study in a related academic or professional field. Students will have great scope for employment in corporate hospitals, rehabilitation centres, polyclinics, industries, training institutions in India and abroad, apart from the option of private practices.

School of Healthcare’s approach for training the future healthcare workforce is based on the four pillars of Rishihood University which include: Impact Ecosystem, where we actively engage and nurture an ecosystem for social impact; Immersive learning provides an opportunity to our teachers to enable the learner to harness multiple sources to acquire and synthesize knowledge and learning becomes natural, effortless, and enjoyable; Flexible Credit structure gives our students an opportunity to take-up courses from a variety of academic areas and learn in a multidisciplinary environment; And Lifelong Learning with the belief that learning has no age and it can happen anytime, anywhere, to anyone.
