Global technology leader Samsung Electronics has announced the unification of its healthcare subsidiaries Boston Imaging and NeuroLogica under a single, integrated entity Samsung HME (Health & Medical Equipment) America marking a strategic rebrand aimed at strengthening its presence in the medical imaging sector.

The consolidation is designed to streamline operations, enhance brand identity, and accelerate innovation across Samsung’s healthcare portfolio in North America. By bringing together imaging expertise and advanced diagnostic technologies under one umbrella, the company aims to deliver more cohesive, scalable, and customer-centric healthcare solutions.

Officials indicated that the newly branded Samsung HME America will focus on expanding its capabilities in diagnostic imaging, point-of-care solutions, and digital healthcare technologies, leveraging the combined strengths of both Boston Imaging and NeuroLogica.

NeuroLogica, known for its portable CT imaging systems, and Boston Imaging, recognized for its advanced ultrasound and radiology solutions, have independently contributed to Samsung’s growth in the global medical imaging market. The integration is expected to create synergies that will enhance product development, improve service delivery, and strengthen customer engagement.

The move aligns with Samsung Electronics’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in the global healthcare technology space, where demand for AI-enabled diagnostics, portable imaging, and precision healthcare solutions is rapidly increasing.

Industry experts note that strategic consolidation and brand unification are becoming increasingly common in the medtech sector, as companies seek to simplify go-to-market strategies, improve operational efficiency, and scale innovation in a competitive landscape.

With this rebranding initiative, Samsung aims to reinforce its position as a key player in the healthcare technology ecosystem, delivering integrated, advanced, and patient-centric imaging solutions to healthcare providers across the United States and beyond.

J.P. Nadda Launches Next Phase of Intensified 100-Day TB Mukt Bharat Campaign

New Delhi | March 2026

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda has launched the next phase of the focused and intensified “100-Day TB Mukt Bharat Campaign”, reinforcing India’s commitment to eliminating Tuberculosis through targeted, high-impact interventions.

The campaign, part of the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), is designed to accelerate active case finding, early diagnosis, and timely treatment in high-burden districts across the country. The intensified phase aims to bridge detection gaps and ensure that undiagnosed cases are identified and treated promptly.

India continues to account for nearly 27% of the global TB burden, with approximately 2.8 million cases annually, making sustained and targeted interventions critical to achieving the national goal of eliminating TB by 2025, ahead of global targets.

The 100-day campaign focuses on door-to-door screening, community engagement, and deployment of advanced diagnostic tools, including molecular testing technologies such as CBNAAT and Truenat. Special emphasis is being placed on vulnerable populations, including urban slums, tribal regions, and underserved rural areas.

Speaking at the launch, Jagat Prakash Nadda highlighted the importance of a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach, encouraging collaboration between healthcare workers, local authorities, and community stakeholders to eliminate TB.

The campaign also integrates key initiatives such as:

  • Ni-kshay Poshan Yojana, providing nutritional support to TB patients
  • Ni-kshay Mitra Initiative, enabling community participation in patient care
  • Digital tracking through the Ni-kshay portalfor improved treatment adherence

Officials noted that the previous phases of the campaign contributed to increased case detection and improved treatment outcomes, with treatment success rates exceeding 85% in many regions.

Healthcare experts believe that such time-bound, targeted campaigns are essential to accelerate progress, particularly in high-burden areas where gaps in diagnosis and treatment persist.

The launch of the next phase underscores the government’s continued focus on preventive healthcare, early intervention, and strengthening public health systems, as India moves closer to its vision of a TB-free nation.
