In a significant step toward strengthening the state’s healthcare workforce, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to newly recruited nurses at a formal ceremony held in Lucknow.

The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance public healthcare delivery and improve patient care services across Uttar Pradesh, particularly at primary and secondary healthcare levels. The newly appointed nurses are expected to be deployed across government hospitals and health centres to address workforce gaps and support growing patient demand.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the critical role of nurses as the backbone of the healthcare system, highlighting their contribution to patient care, emergency response, and overall hospital functioning. He reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure alongside expanding the availability of trained medical professionals.

The recruitment drive comes amid increasing focus on improving doctor-to-patient and nurse-to-patient ratios, ensuring better healthcare accessibility, and enhancing the quality of services in public hospitals. Officials noted that strengthening human resources is essential to complement infrastructure investments and deliver effective healthcare outcomes.

The newly appointed nursing staff will play a key role in maternal and child health services, emergency care, disease management, and preventive healthcare programmes, contributing to the state’s broader public health objectives.
